GVM upgrades

At VMACS we are approved to carry out and certify State (post registration) and Federal (pre registration) GVM upgrades.

(Put simply - GVM is the tare weight of your vehicle + the weight it can carry.
GCM is your vehicles GVM + the weight of what you can tow)

Many utes today are close to their GMV straight off the assembly line and leave little leeway for trays, bull bars or tool box's let alone the gear you would like to carry. A GVM upgrade can increase the weight your vehicle can carry legally. A modification plate is fitted to your vehicle and the information if recorded with DOT after a Road Worthy Inspection.

Be aware if your loaded over your legal limit you may void your insurance as your vehicle is not considered to be within manufacturers specifications.
WOV inspections
NOW AVAILABLE
In today's world the cost of vehicles very high and all insurance companies have a formula to calculate the cost of repairing your vehicle,
whether it be a statutory or economical write off.
An economical write off may be offered for purchase to the owner and then repaired to manufactures specs.
It then requires a WOV inspection to ensure the repairs have been completed in a satisfactory manner. A report is then prepared to be submitted to DOT.
The vehicle will then be required to pass a roadworthy inspection prior to re-registration.
It is important to speak to us prior to commencing any repairs as specific documentation is required to be kept
